Momentum swung back and forth throughout an up-tempo first half, but Orange Lutheran is ahead 24-21 at intermission of the Southern Section Division 3A final at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Leading the way for the Lancers is senior guard Natalie Luzar with 13 points and four rebounds. Orange Lutheran led 16-8 after the first quarter, but the Bearcats have narrowed the gap behind 10 points and seven rebounds from senior guard Taylor Anderson.

Neither team is shooting well from the field. Orange Lutheran has made nine of 27 shots (33.3%) and Bonita has made seven of 24 shots (29.2%). Fatigue could be a factor late in the game for the Bearcats, as Anderson, Madison Zylstra and Brianna Kennedy all played the full 16 minutes of the first half.
