Football: Max Tuerk keeps growing

When Harry Welch gets excited about a football player, recruiters should take notice, because the Santa Margarita coach knows his stuff.

And Welch is excited about 6-foot-6, 281-pound junior lineman Max Tuerk.

‘He’s twice as good as he was this past year,’ Welch said. ‘He’s growing like a leaf at spring time.’

Colorado and Washington have made scholarship offers and USC could be right behind.
