Boys' basketball: Sierra Canyon leads, 27-25

Chatsworth Sierra Canyon holds a 27-25 halftime lead over Van Nuys Montclair at halftime of the Southern Section Division 5A championship game at Mater Dei.

Montclair Prep keeps changing its defense, and it has caused enough trouble to keep the Mounties in the game. Montclair Prep took the lead in the second quarter behind Charles Lockett Jr., Trey Dickerson and Max Fried.

But freshman Bryan Alberts gave Sierra Canyon a lift with seven second-quarter points.
