March 10, 2011 |  9:49 pm

Loyola's Parker Jackson-Cartwright missed a last-second three-pionter and Mater Dei has escaped with a 72-70 victory in tonight's Southern California Regional quarterfinal.

Jackson-Cartwright had made a three-pointer to pull the visiting Cubs within a point, 71-70, with 9.6 seconds left.

Mater Dei's Katin Reinhardt was fouled with 8.7 seconds left and made the second free throw to set up Loyola's final play.
