Boys’ basketball: Lutheran up 26-21 at halftime

Guard Cameron Osorno hit a floater in the lane at the halftime buzzer to give La Verne Lutheran a 26-21 lead over Oakland Bishop O’Dowd in the state Division III championship game at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.

UCLA Coach Ben Howland and Washington Coach Lorenzo Romar are in attendance to watch Bishop O’Dowd junior forward Brandon Ashley and so far he hasn’t disappointed, leading all scorers with nine points.

Arizona-bound junior forward Grant Jerrett leads the Trojans with four points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
