Boys’ basketball: Jonathan Davis is Marmonte MVP

Jonathan Davis of Simi Valley has been selected the most valuable player in the Marmonte League.

Simi Valley Royal could be the team to beat next season, because the Highlanders had three players make all-league, and all return. Leading the way was sophomore Max McCoy, a first-team selection.

Other first-team picks were Evann Hall of Thousand Oaks, Brennan Walker of Westlake, Lionel Poole of Moorpark, Shayan Boloor of Agoura and Anthony Jacques of Thousand Oaks.

For girls, Camille Mahlknect of Agoura was named the Marmonte MVP. First-team picks were Kylie Cunningham of Agoura, Chelsea Jacoby of Royal, Hanna Burge of Newbury Park, Kaity Lykins of Royal, Kathleen Avery of Westlake, India Wilson of Calabasas and Kailee Severt of Moorpark.
