Boys' basketball: Harrell, Cain earn MVP honors in Mission League

March 14, 2011 |  7:25 pm

Julian Harrell from Los Angeles Loyola and Damiene Cain from North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake are the co-most valuable players from the Mission League.

First-team all-league picks were Matt Mounier of Encino Crespi, Max Guercy of Mission Hills Alemany, Zena Edosomwan and Josh Hearlihy of Harvard-Westlake, Joe Stein and Parker Cartwright of Loyola, Kennedy Edwards of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and Jarron Martin of West Hills Chaminade.

Most impressive is that Cartwright is only a freshman, Martin is a sophomore and Edosomwan, Hearlihy, Edwards and Guercy are juniors.
