Maybe Allen Crabbe from Los Angeles Price should have made the McDonald’s All-American Game last season after all. He was named the freshman of the year in the Pacific 10 Conference on Monday after a stellar season at California.

Also making the all-freshman team was former Huntington Beach Ocean View standout Anthony Brown of Stanford.

Former La Mirada standout Derrick Williams of Arizona was named the Pac-10 player of the year. UCLA’s Tyler Honeycutt (Sylmar) and Malcolm Lee (Riverside North) and Washington State’s Klay Thompson (Santa Margarita) were first-team all-conference picks.
