Boys’ basketball: Bob Terry is out at Brea Olinda

After 13 yeas as coach at Brea Olinda, Bob Terry said he has been dismissed in an administrative decision.

Terry said he believes parental complaints resulted in him being forced to leave the program, but he said he has no regrets.

‘I’ve done nothing but coach my kids,’ he said.

He will continue to teach at the local junior high. Terry was a good coach and an even better person but considering how much the girls’ team wins, he faced tough comparisons.

But he followed the rules and prepared his players for the next level. He probably won’t coach next season but if any school wants a competent, honest basketball coach, that’s Terry.
