Baseball: New helmet unveiled to protect pitchers
Easton-Bell unveiled a new helmet Monday that is designed to protect pitchers.
Gunnar Sandberg, a teenage pitcher from Northern California who was injured last year after a ball struck him in the head, will be testing the prototype though he's expected to be a designated hitter this season.
The helmets could be made available for purchase this fall, and no price has been set.
