Baseball: Cory Hahn makes appearance

Former Santa Ana Mater Dei outfielder Cory Hahn, who suffered a serious neck injury last month as he slid into second while playing for Arizona State, made an appearance in a wheelchair on Tuesday at Cal State Fullerton, where the Titans played Arizona State in a nonconference game, according to ASU spokesman Mark Brand.

Hahn has been recuperating at a facility closer to his home since the injury.

Mater Dei Coach Burt Call said he has spoken with Hahn.

‘He’s very upbeat,’ Call said.

Hahn’s family has not released any update on his condition since the early days of his injury.
