Baseball: City Section looking to host semifinals at USC

March 8, 2011 | 12:27 pm

The City Section Division I baseball semifinals could be moving to USC as a doubleheader instead of the highest seeded teams hosting the semifinals.

That is the plan by the City Section if USC is available, according to John Aguirre, a City Section administrator. The games would be played on Wednesday, June 1, with the championship game on Saturday, June 4 at Dodger Stadium.

If USC is not available, then the two highest seeded teams will host the semifinals. The Division II semifinals will be held at Birmingham.
