Baseball: Alta Loma is off to 5-0 start
Alta Loma won the Dick's Sporting Goods tournament and is off to a 5-0 start. Cole Volkers was the tournament MVP after going 2-0 and giving up one earned run in 10 innings while hitting .533.
Alta Loma knocked off Elsinore, Covina, South Hills, Northview and Los Osos to win the title.
The team had seven sophomores on varsity last season, so a year's experience has been a big help.
