Greg Goossen honored at Notre Dame High School Hall of Fame ceremony

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame held its first Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night, and it was dedicated to inductee Greg Goossen, who was supposed to be at the event but was found dead at his nearby home. He was 65. (‘Ex-major leaguer Greg Goossen dies.’)

Goossen was a standout football and baseball player for the Knights. He comes from a family of eight boys and two girls. The family has been well known for its love of sports.

Goossen had looked forward to Saturday night. ‘He said, ‘It’s the highlight of my life being inducted into the Notre Dame Hall of Fame,’ ‘ said Jeff Kraemer, one of the school organizers.
