Chris Rizzo, a 1996 Woodland Hills Taft graduate who served as an assistant coach to Matt Kerstetter, has been selected to be the Toreadors’ new coach.

‘It’s my alma mater and I’m looking forward to the opportunity,’ Rizzo said.

He handled the Toreadors’ defense. He played for and coached under former Taft Coach Troy Starr and has been a Taft assistant since 2002. He said he plans to hire a coach to handle the offense.
