Boys’ basketball: Valley Torah makes 6AA final

Top-seeded North Hollywood Valley Torach earned a spot in the Southern Section Division 6AA championship game with a 44-30 victory over Rio Hondo Prep Monday night in a semifinal game.

Aaron Liberman had 11 points, 21 rebounds and 13 blocks. Valley Torah broke open the game in the second half after a 26-26 halftime deadlock.

Valley Torah’s defense held Rio Hondo scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Valley Torah will play in Saturday’s championship game at 8:15 p.m. at Santa Ana Mater Dei.
