When it comes to three-point threats, Corona Centennial‘s Gelaun Wheelwright is one of the top perimeter marksmen in Southern California.

During the regular season, the Weber State-bound guard sank 67 three-pointers and shot 34% from beyond the arc while averaging 17.8 points per game. He also finished second in team rebounding, averaging 4.5 per game.

More important, Wheelwright has played a big role in the Huskies’ first two playoff victories. He finished with 28 points during Corona Centennial’s 97-65 victory over Great Oak on Wednesday before netting 15 points in a 59-55 victory over Los Alamitos in the second round Friday.

But Wheelwright will have to do more of the same Tuesday when the Huskies look to advance to the division semifinals for the first time since 2008 against a strong Upland team that knocked off Pasadena on Friday.
