Boxing gains popularity after sports cutbacks

In Toledo, Ohio, cuts to middle school and high school sports budgets have caused students to turn to boxing clubs as a way to participate in an after-school sports program.

Is that the future for areas in California?

Years ago, I recall 6th grade trip to nation's Capitol! I recall P.E., Art, and Music teachers in my elementary years! We had spelling, grammar, and reading programs that challenged us to move at our own pace and test before moving on. I recall science fairs and art competitions and after school programs that fostered instruction in the arts and music; rather than LA's Best day care service. We are NOT adequately funding PUBLIC EDUCATION K-12 and HIGHER EDUCATION!!!
