Football: Adam Guerra is new coach at St. Monica

Adam Guerra, who served as the interim coach at Los Angeles Loyola in 2009, has been named head coach at St. Monica. The 25-year-old Guerra did not coach last season. He replaces Larry Muno, who resigned to become coach at St. Bernard.

Are you saying that the previous coach went out and brought in a bunch of kids to help turn the program around. Sounds like your the minority in this one. You seem happy that they brought in a football guy. Others I hear are not so thrilled with the pick. He is a football guy and will do well.

Optimus Prime

Getting an assistant from Loyola is better than the previous coach who had been organizing park and rec flag football. He probably knows more X's and O's and is probably better at creating scouting reports and game plans. Good luck to this coach. although I think I have some clothes older than he is.

Very good choice for the job. He will keep the program going in the right direction.
