Brendyn Taylor, a junior guard who won a long-shot CIF appeal to gain eligibility this season after transferring from Los Angeles View Park Prep, scored 19 points to help Los Angeles Fairfax win the Abbostford Snowball Classic in Canada on Saturday with a 76-54 vicgtroy over Pitt Meadows.

Taylor has been scoring well for the Lions since gaining his eligibility after originally being denied by the City Section. Laik Carter added 16 points and Landon Drew 14. Drew was named the tournament MVP.

The Western League is looking like the toughest in the City Section, because L.A. University won the Huntington Park-Hamilton tournament title with a 67-61 win over Los Angeles Fremont.
