Boys’ basketball: Loyola pulls out overtime win

Los Angeles Loyola (15-5, 6-2) received 20 points from Julian Harrell, 16 from Justin Childress and 12 from Jacob Hazzard to defeat Mission Hills Alemany, 76-72, in overtime in a Mission League game.

Two down and two to go for the Cubs, who beat Encino Crespi on Monday and still must face West Hills Chaminade on Friday and Etiwanda on Saturday at Fairfax.

North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (19-2, 8-0) stayed unbeaten in the Mission League with a 79-66 win over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Zena Edosomwan had 23 points and 12 rebounds. Josh Hearlihy had 21 points and Jordan Butler had nine assists. Crespi (17-6, 5-3) defeated St. Francis, 58-35. Matt Mounier had 12 points.

In the Trinity League, Santa Ana Mater Dei defeated Bellflower St. John Bosco, 87-31. St. John Bosco played without Cezar Guerrero, who has a shoulder injury. Katin Reinhardt scored 24 points and Xavier Johnson had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

In the Pacific League, Deshawn Hayes scored 34 points in Pasadena Muir’s 84-31 win over Burbank Burroughs.
