Boys’ basketball: Loyola holds 38-35 lead

In a game that is living up to expectations, Los Angeles Loyola has a 38-35 halftime lead over Harvard-Westlake in a Mission League battle. Both teams are playing well. They have combined to make all 15 of their free-throw attempts.

At one point, Harvard-Westlake’s two big men, 6-foot-7 Damiene Cain and 6-8 Zena Edosomwan had combined for 24 of their team’s 27 points.

Freshman Parker Cartwright has scored 14 points for Loyola. Jacob Hazzard contributed a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter. Cain has 15 points for the Wolverines and Edosomwan has 11. Leading scorer Josh Hearlihy has been held to two points for Harvard-Westlake.
