Boys’ basketball: Loyola hands Etiwanda its first loss

After 21 consecutive victories, Etiwanda was beaten by Los Angeles Loyola, 70-64, on Saturday night in the Fairfax State Preview Classic.

Loyola (17-5) came back from an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit. The Cubs made 12 of 15 free throws in the fourth quarter. Julian Harrell finished with 18 points and Justin Childress 15. Byron Wesley scored 30 points for Etiwanda (21-1).
