There’s no basketball player in Southern California who can put on a show quite like senior guard Cezar Guerrero of Bellflower St. John Bosco.

In his latest performance, Guerrero scored 41 points and made a jump shot with less than 20 seconds left while running down the clock to break a 65-65 tie and lift the Braves past Orange Lutheran, 68-65, in a Trinity League game Tuesday at Orange Lutheran.

The Lancers (15-5, 3-1) saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end. St. John Bosco (17-4, 2-2) led by as many as nine points in the second half. Guerrero made 14 of 26 shots. He scored 46 points earlier this season against Santa Ana Mater Dei. Gabe York had 24 points and James Douglas 21 points for Orange Lutheran.

Guerrero didn’t play last season after transferring back to St. John Bosco from Workman. But Coach Chris Madigan has given him the green light, and Guerrero will do just about anything to entertain.
