Baseball: Tragedy at El Camino Real event

Early on during a ceremony honoring former Woodland Hills El Camino Real baseball player Conor Jackson on Tuesday in the school gym, an El Camino Real baseball parent, Mark Oleesky, collapsed while taking photos. Paramedics were called but he later died of cardiac arrest, his wife, Jackie, said Wednesday. He was 60.

Oleesky used to host a computer and technology show on KABC talk radio. His son, Brian, is a freshman on El Camino Real’s baseball team.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Sinai in Los Angeles.
