Baseball: Early reports indicate bats are working well

New BBCOR bats have begun to be used during winter ball, and early reports are encouraging.

Last summer, there were few home runs hit in the Valley Invitational Baseball League that used wood bats. Van Nuys Montclair Prep used an Easton Surge this past weekend, and a ball was hit over the fence at Westlake High.

Coach Rick Weber said his players liked the bat that retails for $299.

Players from across California are buying BBCOR bats. Here’s the list of approved bats.
