Football: Umbrellas are OK for CIF bowl games

Umbrellas are usually banned from the Home Depot Center in Carson, but Roger Blake, the CIF associate director, said Wednesday that they will be allowed this weekend if needed because of weather conditions for the CIF state championship bowl games.

But fans had better be polite because an open umbrella can restrict vision. There's also an area where seating is protected from rain at Home Depot Center.
