Mission Viejo quarterback Alex Bridgford scrambled out of the pocket and appeared headed for the end zone, but the ball was jarred loose and defensive back Jordan Jones recovered at Servite’s one-yard line with less than two minutes remaining.

Servite proceeded to run out the clock for a 41-27 victory in the Pac-5 Division championship game at Angel Stadium. Malik Felton had a big night for the Friars, rushing for 184 yards and scoring four touchdowns.

Servite won its 25th game in a row and second straight Pac-5 title. The Friars all but secured a berth in either the Open Division or Division I state bowl game. Bowl selections will be made Sunday.
