Football: Matt Bowen is going out in style
Los Angeles Fairfax is playing Chatsworth for the City Section Division II football championship on Friday at 7 p.m. at East Los Angeles College, and its standout running back, Matt Bowen, has been doing everything possible and more to lead the Lions to the title.
He has rushed for 2,180 yards and 24 touchdowns in his senior year. That comes after rushing for 1,621 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.

Are you kidding me? Deanthony is the real deal,but teondre caldwell from venice is 10 times better than erwin. Play some big time schools and then talk. Erwin is D2 please.

i've seen about 5 chatsworth games and saw fairfax last week against arleta.fairfax size was the difference against arleta.two advantages chatsworth has over arleta are thier defense is better and they have a good running quarterback.that being said i like fairfax by two touchdowns.

Bowen and Fairfax are going to have to outscore Chatsworth........Chatsworth has a lot of team speed and is better than most people realize. They were down 21-14 at Taft at halftime.....against the Div. I semi-finalists in the first WVL game.....they eventually lost by three TD's.....but if you sleep on them, then they can bite you with their speed. Ask Panorama, Hollywood, and Pali.They also have 2-3 tough linemen on both offense and defense........seen both teams....sorry Eric....this one is much closer than your prediction.
