Football: Don't worry, there will be a site for Westlake-St. Bonny [Updated]
It's Wednesday morning, and I still haven't heard officially where Friday's Northern Division semifinal game between host Westlake and Ventura St. Bonaventure will be played. The schools have been in discussions since Tuesday, when Westlake decided it didn't want to play at Moorpark College.
Westlake wanted to play on its home field, but St. Bonaventure objected. The schools have been trying to figure out another site. Since the game is scheduled for television, the site needs to have decent lighting.
Thousand Oaks could be a compromise.
[Updated at 8:54 a.m.: The game will be played at Westlake, Coach Jim Benkert confirmed Wednesday morning. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.]

What a hell hole. I've been to four games there. All of them had long lines to bathrooms, out of most food/drinks by halftime (which you only discover after being in line for 20 minutes), and they force you to sit outside the 30 yard lines. This time will be different though, as me and my buds are sitting in the orange seats. Let them try to move us. (They can find their blankets in warming my feet)..:)
Of course typical CIF... no balls to make change.

The seating is awful at Westlake. And they only give us from the 30 yard line down and give themselves the other 70 yards. We have so many fans and the way they handle it is terrible. Would be fine if they had stands on both sides.

As a Westlake grad and proud football alum, I can tell you that opposing teams don't like playing at our stadium. All fans are on the same side, so seating can be scarce...especially in a game like this with two powerhouses going at it. And when you have 7ooo fans crammed onto one side...you can bet bathroom lines are long.
I doubt Bonnie's players and coaches care where they play...sounds like more of a school/parents objection.
Go Warriors!

Because Westlake's stadium is horrible!

Why should they play at Westlake? If anything, Bonny beat Westlake and they should get the nod... Neutral field is the way to go...

Why would Bonna object to playing at Westlake? If anyone knows please enlighten. They were able to eke one out a few weeks ago and played well. Last year in playoffs, not so much.
