Football: Crenshaw's De'Anthony Thomas named MVP by City Section coaches
The City Section has released the coaches' All-City team and, as expected, Crenshaw took top honors.
Crenshaw running back De'Anthony Thomas was named the year's most valuable player and Cougars' coach Robert Garrett was named coach of the year.
Check out the entire Division I and II first team selections. Go here to see the second-team selections.

Now, now, now, just an opinion.
No insult or hate intended. Hector should be selected at LB not kicker. This kid should be the team's MVP. RB,LB,Punter.
Hopefully the city coaches will select an all-academic team. I've sat at these selection meetings before. Every coach thinks their kid is the best so they extend the selections beyond eleven players. So who does I I S think are the city's BEST eleven on defense and offense? Feliz Navidad.

The D-I picks are just fine- in D-II I think Chatsworth's D'ondre Alexander should have made it, along with the Davis kid from Reseda. Overall, they are fine. Narbonne should be the D-I favorite next year, with San Pedro, Carson, Dorsey, and Crenshaw as the next best.

BTW..it is your son's coach who makes the nominations for first team and second team selections for the players on your team..you may want to take your issues up with him..

Obviously everyone can't make the list...A lot of the kids on the list were also voted on the media first team and second team selections...Stop taking it so personal this is just someone else's opinion..if your son didn't make the list it doesn't take away from what he did this season..

This is worse than the playoff seedings meeting. There are kids who are first team and players of the year that could not even make 1st team on some other teams at that same position. This is amazing stuff. Wow

How is it that LA city section selects three QB's on its first team? Garfield has a
mercy selection at punter. The kids a three year starter at LB. Wow! six LB on first
team.
