CIF-Mater Dei court hearing is postponed

A hearing scheduled for Monday in Orange County Superior Court on the request by the CIF Southern Section to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange on behalf of Santa Ana Mater Dei has been postponed.

Lawyers for the Diocese filed an amendment to the request by the Southern Section, and Southern Section lawyers are studying it, according to Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons.

Mater Dei believes the Southern Section has been engaged in unfair treatment of its athletes.
