There’s good news and bad news for Thousand Oaks basketball fans. The bad news is that the Lancers got put in the same playoff division as Long Beach Poly, Etiwanda, Corona Centennial and Santa Ana Mater Dei.

The good news is that Thousand Oaks is off to a 9-0 start behind seniors Evan Hall, Austin Kegley and Richard Mullaney. The Lancers cruised to a 75-56 victory over Simi Valley Royal in their Marmonte League opener on Monday.

Coach Richard Endres said the 6-foot-4 Hall has been playing well. He’s averaging 20 points. Kegley, a point guard, is considered a good shooter, and the versatile Mullaney, a standout receiver in football, can be counted on for rebounding and physical play.
