Boys’ basketball: Taylor scores 25 points for Sierra Canyon

Chatsworth Sierra Canyon, ranked No. 1 in Southern Section 5A, defeated Santa Monica Crossroads, 70-46, to improve to 4-0. Jahmel Taylor scored 25 points and freshman Bryan Alberts added 15 points and 13 rebounds.

In the Cantwell-Sacred-Heart tournament, Chatsworth (8-1) defeated Pasadena Marshall, 98-36. Jessie Hernandez scored 15 points and Frankie Flores 14. West Hills Chaminade (5-1) defeated Bravo, 68-49. Jaron Martin had 17 points.

No. 4 Etiwanda (7-0) defeated Perris, 57-45, in the Inland Empire tournament.

North Hollywood Campbell Hall (7-0) received 33 points from Austin McBroom in a 65-61 win over Community Charter.
