Boys’ basketball: Sierra Canyon gets boost from new players

Chatsworth Sierra Canyon is off to a 3-0 start helped by several new players. Jahmel Taylor, a sophomore transfer from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, had 41 points against Burbank Bell-Jeff. And 6-foot-4 freshman Bryan Alberts is averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Another freshman, 6-6 Marsalis Johnson, is also contributing. And Sierra Canyon will get its football players this week.
