Boys’ basketball: Ocean View, Santa Monica tourneys this week

Two terrific tournaments get under way Monday and Tuesday at Huntington Beach Ocean View and Santa Monica.
The Ocean View tournament starts Monday. Among the teams entered are Encino Crespi, Los Angeles Loyola, Santa Ana Foothill, Corona del Mar, Narbonne and Orange Lutheran.
First-round games Monday include Ocean View vs. Long Beach Jordan, 3:30 p.m.; Orange Lutheran vs. Narbonne, 5 p.m.; Crespi vs. Temecula Valley, 6:30 p.m. and El Toro vs. San Bernardino, 8 p.m. On Tuesday, Long Beach Jordan vs. Foothill, 3:30 p.m.; Loyola vs. Narbonne, 5 p.m.; Temecula Valley vs. Clovis East, 6:30 p.m.; Corona del Mar vs. Clovis West, 8 p.m.
The Santa Monica tournament starts Tuesday. Opening games include Eisenhower vs. Palisades, 3:30 p.m.; Corona Centennial vs. Blair, 5 p.m.; Reseda Cleveland vs. Compton, 6:30 p.m. and Santa Monica vs. Gardena Serra, 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Santa Monica schedule has Windward vs. Crenshaw, 3:30 p.m.; San Diego Lincoln vs. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 5 p.m.; Sacramento Sheldon vs. Birmingham, 6:30 p.m.; Bishop Montgomery vs. Fresno Central, 8 p.m.
