It appears a couple of diamond standouts will be playing baseball in the collegiate ranks.

Troy’s Stephen Sauter has verbally committed to play at Oregon. The junior is considered one of the best switch-hitting catchers in the Southland.

Joining him in the collegiate ranks will be Gahr pitcher Jacob Faria, who has committed to play at Cal State Fullerton. According to Maxpreps.com, the 6-foot-3 right-hander recorded a 1.52 earned-run average in 14 appearances on the mound as a junior in 2010.
