Girls’ volleyball: Tom Harp is working his coaching magic

Tom Harp can coach volleyball. He won four upper-division City Section championships in boys’ volleyball at Granada Hills, and in his third season as girls’ coach, his team is on the verge of back-to-back City titles.
The Highlanders, led by returning All-City players Amber Hawthorne and Hanna Levanen, will face Carson on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Los Angeles Roybal for the City Division I championship.
In the Division II final at 2:30 p.m., it will be Sun Valley Poly taking on Palisades. In the small schools final at noon, Elizabeth will take on Sherman Oaks CES.
