Third-seeded Woodland Hills El Camino Real took all four singles points to upset second-seeded Palisades, 4-3, Monday afternoon in the City Championship Division semifinals.

The Conquistadores (10-4) raced to a 3-0 lead on straight-set wins by freshman Mayra Jovic, sophomore Hayley Hargrove and senior Minda Le. Senior Denise Poltavski clinched the victory with a 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-2 victory over Palisades’ Samantha Kogan at No. 1 singles.

The Western League champion Dolphins (13-3) did not drop a set in the three doubles matches, as seniors Katie Takakjian and Charlotte Farrant finished undefeated against City opponents for the second straight season.

The Conquistadores will be heavy underdogs against top-seeded and defending champion Granada Hills (12-1) in Wednesday’s final at Balboa Sports Center in Encino. The Highlanders beat El Camino Real by 7-0 and 6-1 scores in West Valley League play.
