Girls' basketball: Reshanda Gray signs with Cal

Washington Prep phenom Reshanda Gray, who was debating whether to head to USC or Cal, signed a letter of intent with Cal on Wednesday.

It's a proud moment for a girl who grew up in a neighborhood filled with violence and said the temptation to join a gang was once very strong.

After signing Gray, a 6-foot-3 forward who's ranked No. 22 in the nation, Cal could have one of the top recruiting classes. The Golden Bears also have committments from No. 21 Erika Johnson and No. 38 Brittany Boyd.
