Tuesday was a lucky day for Westlake Village Oaks Christian Coach Bill Redell and the Lions. The Marmonte League principals did a series of coin flips in case there’s a three-way deadlock for first place, and Oaks Christian ended up winning and will be the No. 1 seed from the league.

Ventura St. Bonaventure will be No. 2 and Westlake Village Westlake No. 3. All three schools are 7-1 in league going into their final games on Friday.

It means Oaks Christian will be the No. 1 seed for the Northern Division playoffs and probably won’t have to face Westlake or St. Bonaventure until the championship game if the Lions finish in a tie for first place.

St. Bonaventure plays Simi Valley Royal, Westlake faces Calabasas and Oaks Christian gets Agoura in their regular-season finales.
