Thousand Oaks receiver Richard Mullaney caught either 19 or 20 passes, depending on final stats, on Friday night in a loss to Oaks Christian.

If he caught 20, it would give him 121 catches for the season, which would tie the state record held by Steve Martinez of Los Angeles Wilson.

Thousand Oaks attempted 63 passes. Coach Mike Leibin said he intends to review tape to confirm Mullaney’s Friday totals.

Update: Mullaney caught 19 passes, leaving him one short of the state record.
