Football: Kickers are having a good year

The kickers continue to make an impact in high school football.

According to the latest statistics compiled by Maxpreps.com, Leo Farias from Phelan Serrano tops Southern California high school kickers having made 10 field goals in 10 attempts, with a long of 43.

Sophomore Johnathan Kim from Torrance Bishop Montgomery has made nine field goals in 10 attempts. Andres Magallon from Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos and Wes Harris from Lake Forest El Toro each have nine field goals.

Erik Cervantes from San Bernardo Arroyo Valley and Max Talbert from Huntington Beach are each averaging more than 47 yards a punt.
