Football: How good is QB Adam Young?
If there are some college football coaches looking for a quarterback who can run and pass, Adam Young from Santa Margarita is available.
He came into this season as an unknown player because he had to play junior varsity as a junior after transferring from Tesoro. All he has done is pass for 16 touchdowns with two interceptions in leading the Eagles to a 9-2 record.
Against Huntington Beach Edison on Friday, he completed 11 of 12 passes for 284 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 83 yards.
"He's very good," Edison Coach Dave White said.
Young also booms the ball into the end zone as a kicker.
Santa Margarita will play unbeaten Mission Viejo on Friday night in a quarterfinal game at Saddleback College.

The back up is not that bad either! SM won the games where he was forced into action this past season and he was the player of the game in the classic against Bosco (he led them back from a 20-point deficit). SM appears to be a team of destiny. The game on Friday will also be a classic. Go SM - Trinity all the way!
