While Gardena Serra (11-0) remains the clear favorite in the Western Division, don’t underestimate the Pac-7 League, which still has three teams alive in Paso Robles (9-2), Atascadero (9-2) and Arroyo Grande (9-2).

Those Pac-7 teams are particularly tough on their home turfs, and there is talent in the league.

Arroyo Grande has an outstanding defensive player in junior defensive back Seth Jacobs, who has two interceptions and four sacks.

Paso Robles relies on quarterback Jacob Searcy, who has passed for 1,826 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Atascadero has talented athlete Troy Norris, a standout point guard in basketball who has eight interceptions at defensive back.

Paso Robles hosts Inglewood, Atascadero plays at West Hills Chaminade and Arroyo Grande hosts Compton Dominguez on Friday. All three Pac-7 teams are capable of winning.
