Cross country: St. John Bosco wins state Division III title

Bellflower St. John Bosco won the state Division III boys’ title in cross country on Saturday in Fresno. Danny Martinez led the way at 15:38.

Samuel Pons of South Pasadena won the individual title in 15:00.

In Division IV, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake took second and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame fourth behind champion San Rafael. Matt Neev of Laguna Beach (15:25) finished in second place and Will Conway of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (15:42) finished third.

In Division IV girls, Harvard-Westlake’s Cami Chapus won the individual title in 17:45. JSerra took the team title over Thousand Oaks La Reina.

In Division V boys, Billy Gaudreau of San Juan Capistrano St. Margaret’s won the individual title in 15:39 to lead St. Margaret’s to the team title.
