Boys’ water polo: El Toro, Mater Dei advance to final

Lake Forest El Toro and Santa Ana Mater Dei have advanced to Saturday’s Southern Section-Ford Division 1 championship game in boys’ water polo.
El Toro made the final for the third consecutive year after an 11-10 semifinal win over Los Angeles Loyola. Mater Dei got six goals from Bret Bonanni to defeat Goleta Dos Pueblos, 13-7. The final will be played at 6:30 p.m. at the Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine.
