Baseball: Ty Moore picks UCLA

UCLA has landed another outstanding baseball player from the class of 2012. Santa Ana Mater Dei junior outfielder Ty Moore said Saturday he has committed to the Bruins.

Moore’s hitting and pitching helped Mater Dei win the Southern Section Division 1 championship last season.

‘It just felt right,’ Moore said of UCLA.

Moore is the fourth top junior from Southern California to commit to UCLA, joining pitchers Max Fried (Montclair Prep), Lucas Giolito (Harvard-Westlake) and Hunter Virant (Camarillo).
