Girls’ basketball: St. Bernard has top transfer student

When the girls’ basketball season begins, Playa del Rey St. Bernard should be considered a top team thanks the addition of 6-foot-3 Kacy Swain, a transfer from Temecula Chaparral who is committed to UCLA.

‘She’s definitely going to help us,’ Coach Bo Corona said.

Swain has been at St. Bernard since school started in August. She averaged 12.7 points and 7.1 rebounds last season as a junior.
