Football: Westlake defeats Oaks Christian, 31-12

Eleven years after Oaks Christian (2-2, 2-1) opened its doors and after a forced move to the Marmonte League, the Lions faced that team just a mile away: Westlake (4-0, 3-0).

And before a sellout crowd of 6,000, Westlake, the No. 1 ranked team in the state by MaxPreps.com, extended its program-record winning streak to 18 games with a 31-12 win.

Warriors quarterback Nick Isham completed 20 of 26 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the win.

Oaks Christian quarterback Richie Harrington finished 19 of 27 for 171 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
